Seed Beads

Japanese seed beads are highly sought after because of their precision and uniformity of cut compared to seed beads made in other countries. Within the Japanese seed bead family there are three manufacturers - Miyuki, Matsuno and Toho. Each company has it's unique style  of making beads, and vary in the shapes they create. Between the three companies there are many shades of each color in the rainbow, and many sizes and finishes. The most precisely cut bead we carry is the Delica (cylinder) bead made by Miyuki. It is a wonderful bead for making precision jewelry in bead weaving - espcially the peyote stitch. When woven with the proper tension, these weaves will feel like material. We carry from size 6/0 (larger) to size 15/0 (smaller). Seed beads are available in round, hex cut, triangles and cubes. But remember, these beads are not just for weaving - they also work nicely in many other forms of jewelry making!
